A little bit about

Hop the Character

Regardless of shape, material, size, or medium, the character remains: Hop is a kind and adventurous young girl from the miniature world on your shelf or inside some drawer full of trinkets and toys. Her life may look human like ours, but her nature is always 1:12 the size of ours.

She first showed up as a polymer clay master sculpt, which was later replicated, painted, and clothed to order. Just like with many (respectfully unnamed) doll lines, Hop stopped being just a character to become the name of the design and image of a brand. Hop the character looks one way, but Hop the design may look however.

Not really 1:12

In Hop's world, the human and the miniature are subject to the same physics and processes. She's not a girl shrunk to palm-size but rather a true-to-size doll, through and through.

Elements are sometimes reimagined, but never erased. The odd stiffnesses of fabric, industrial markings on her body, technical or mechanical mistakes, and anything else usually hidden are part of her and her ecosystem, society, goals, wants, and capabilities.

Technically, Hop and her friends could bake something in your own kitchen just fine if you let them get engineering degrees and the scaffolding set up.
